This week in art...

When we went in mrs mcnulty had lined up all our work so that it made the big picture. This is what my finished part looked like....

So now we had finished that we had to move onto something else. We did some observations drawing of poppy heads. Mrs showed us how to shade with to different pencils. The pencils were a 2B and a 6B. The 2B pencil drew sharp lines and it was better to draw with these pencils. The 6B pencil made smother lines and it was better to shade with these. Mrs also showed us how to create guide lines to make us see how to make the poppy head bigger on paper. :)

This week in art.....

This week in art we had to finish off our little part of the picture 'Suprised-Tiger in a storm'. Not many people managed to completely finished, but i did. Mrs Mcnulty told us that should not have any bit of paper showing, this means the whole page had to be covered with whatever colour you saw on your piece of the picture. I tried not to leave any white parts. When we had finished my fingers where covered in different colours of the pastels. This is because when you use oil pastils, they have to best effect if you smudge them with your fingers. It gives the pictures a smooth texture and it is easier to blend the colours. I hope all the pictures fit nicely together.

This week in art.....

This week in art we carried on what we were doing last time. This was enlarging a small piece of the Suprised- A tiger in a storm picture. We had finished drawing it this week and we all started to colour it with pastels. We had to blend the different colours with our fingers to make the different parts of our piece stand out more. I think on mine i needed to blend the colours a bit more and use lighter colours.

This week in art...

This week in art, Miss had cut up a print off of the picture 'Suprised- A tiger in a storm'. We all had to choose the little piece we wanted to draw. We had to draw it on an A4 piece of paper. This was because when we have finished drawing it and putting some colour on it, we're going to put all the pieces back together to make a bigger picture. Then we are going to enter it in the 'Picture This' competition. This is what my piece looked like...
